Ignorance
I havent forgotten that once while walking
On the lame road, busied by its inviting fare
Where the sun grows and dies without docking
And throngs of men, drifting towards nowhere
I had seen a sweet cherub standing alone
As passersby rocked on without paying heed
On the mouth of a lane, sounding faint moan
That no-one noticed, that no-one felt a need
I felt urged to move, but I moved away
